DynaVap VapCap Cleaning Guide
To ensure that your DynaVap VapCap continues to produce vapour that offers clean flavours, you need to know how to clean your DynaVap vape correctly. Due to DynaVap’s commitment to modular designs and easy cleaning components, this has been made a lot easier than say cleaning the Volcano Classic.
You will have to break things down a bit to clean everywhere, but it is a relatively painless process that involves a few simple steps.
What You Need To Have?
It’s very tempting to use isopropyl alcohol to clear your VapCap parts, but it is recommended by the manufacturer that you avoid chemicals. If you find that your VapCap needs deep cleaning, you should soak the metal parts in some isopropyl alcohol for a brief period. You will then have to rinse them thoroughly and allow them to dry completely after.
For most cleaning, hot soapy water or a safe cleaning solution will work. You are going to need a container for soaking the pieces, but the tube the devices comes it works well. If you have a VapCap M, you could drop it into the cutlery basket of your dishwasher.
Disassembling Your DynaVap VapCap
To start cleaning, you need to separate your VapCap into the individual components. There are no levers or latches that do this and you simply pull everything apart. It does take a bit of strength to get everything separated, but twisting can help this process.
The goal is to have the VapCap completely disassembled into 3 groups of components based on their materials. The metal components, other than the lid, will need to be soaked. The wood pieces need to be set aside as they will generally not need any cleaning, but could do with a bit of wax. The gaskets and o-rings can be easy to lose which is why they should be soaked in warm soapy water on their own. This Dynavap vapcap cleaning guide could also be used on a number of CBD vape pens without too much difficulty.
The VapCap Cap
There are times when the cap has some build-up inside it. If this is the case, you need to use a cotton swab with some isopropyl alcohol inside the cap. You should not soak the cap, but it is dishwasher safe. You should only place it in the dishwasher if the cap needs a deep cleaning.
The Metal Parts
All of the metal parts should be soaked in hot soapy water, isopropyl alcohol or pipe cleaning fluid. You will need to rinse them thoroughly after they have soaked. The best way to do this will be to fill the tube halfway with the cleaner, drop the parts in and then give it a good shake.
Pipe Cleaners
After you have soaked and shook the metal parts, they should be ready for drying and reassembly. If they are not, you can use a pipe cleaner like floss to get them ready. This is also a good method of ensuring the inside of the condenser is completely clean which is very important for a smooth draw.
Replacing The Rings
The o-rings of the VapCap can be a bit tricky to replace. You will need to lubricate the rings with some water or some DynaWax. The small ring will go further in on the condenser and should sit in the groove. The larger ring will be around the end and has to be flush with the condenser.
Reassembling Your DynaVap VapCap
Once all of the components are dry and the rings are back on the condenser, you need to reassemble your VapCap. You should start with carefully putting the condenser into the mouthpiece and unit. Hold the end ring to ensure that it is flush with the end of the mouthpiece.
If you have any issues, you should blow into the body for a few seconds. This will help the rings and condenser fit back in. You should then work the inside end of the tip over the exposed end of the condenser before twisting and pushing until it is snug and tight in the body.
Dynavap is a lot like the Canavape of the vaporizer industry. They are hugely popular because their fans are so vocal about their amazing products on online forums.
