Cannabis Products Maker Launching Apple-Style CBD Store Offering
Apple-Style CBD Retail Unit A Boost To Bath
A Bath company which produces cannabis-derived products is planning an Apple-style retail offering to grow into a selection of green space related offerings. Like Apple they see the world a little differently and want to inspire their customers to do the same.
George Botanicals, which operates from a family-owned farm in Somerset, produces Cannabidiol (CBD) products and has a hemp-growing license. It is backed by Sativa Investments.
Welcome To The Next Level CBD Retail Experience
The retail aptly named ‘Goodbody and Blunt’ is launching very soon. It will incorporate a wellness centre, with a very pharmaceutical and cosmetics look; imagine a Holland and Barrett cum Apple store cum Starbucks, that whole sort of engaging, welcoming, relaxing atmosphere. CBD Village UK will let you know of its imminent launch date.
As well as the retail offering, the company has plans to open up a £12m glasshouse in the region to grow plants to produce the medicinal and psychoactive chemical THC, as well as its own CBD extraction setup.
George Thomas of George Botanicals told Insider Media.com:
“Our story is a typical example of farm diversification where we’ve recognised a potential new industry; we also have an industrial hemp growing license, so we can grow hemp on our farm and extract the CBD from it. However we don’t currently have the CBD extraction license – that’s something we’re working on.”
Forerunners In The CBD Market
This innovative group aim to be at the cutting edge of this exciting industry and to bring a boost to the Somerset economy.
George Botanicals currently employs 16 people between manufacture, sales, and product testing and is looking to expand.
“We have a production facility here with a team of five people that are in there. I also have a sales team out on the road that is going round tapping on the doors of health food shops, pharmacies, wellbeing stores, vaping stores, you name it they’re trying to get in front of them, as well as some of the top grocers, so we seem to be in a very exciting part of the market at the moment.”

CBD Oil Dilemmas
The company has a world class facility and hope to focus in the lab on CBD and other cannabis related products. They are in a position to test all the products and adhere to all the rules, regulations, and stringent guidelines to ensure a premium product.
George Thomas added:

Thomas went on:
“There are two separate elements that we have to look at here; the CBD market itself is undergoing review at the moment in the UK, and as long as the products are less than 0.2 percent THC they’re not technically under the umbrella of any medicinal cannabis, although CBD has links to a range of medicinal benefits; that is very much not within the medicinal cannabis sector.”
