Guide To Making Cannabis E-Liquid From Vaporizer Hash
Probably one of my favourite things about using a vaporizer is how efficient they are in comparison to other smoking methods. One of the benefits of this is that you can save up your already been vaped (ABV) cannabis and in combination with the hash cleaned from your vape, you can create a fairly good cannabis e-juice for use with e-cigs. I’ve written a few articles in the past regarding the best way to make e-liquid from fresh bud (my most recent guide is here), but this guide focuses only on reclaimed hash and ABV and is fairly simple to follow.
What You’ll Need
- One or more vaporizers in need of cleaning
- 15+ grams of ABV (the lighter coloured the better!)
- Stovetop pot
- Shot glass
- Jar with a lid (large enough to fit all of your vaped buds)
- 99% Isopropyl Alcohol (70% will work as well, but it takes longer for the mixture to evaporate)
- Pyrex dish
- Cheesecloth
- Rubber band
- Dropper bottle
- Small scraper
- EJMix with your choice of flavouring

Steps
Collect Vaporizer Hash
Once you’ve gathered all the necessary materials, the first step is to extract hash from your vaporizers. Although all vaporizers can be cleaned, only some can be given an alcohol bath to remove resin (primarily those with removable glass parts such as the Ascent or Cloud Evo Hydratube). Once you’ve got a few pieces to clean, you’ll want to pour some alcohol into your pyrex dish (enough to coat the vaporizer pieces), and then place any removable glass parts into the bath and let them soak in a well-ventilated location. Silicone whip tubing can also be soaked in this mix to clean it, but PVC will degrade so make sure never to clean PVC with alcohol! Once your pieces are looking like new again, remove them and head on over to the next step!
Make QWISO From Your ABV
The next step in the e-liquid making process is make quick wash iso hash from your ABV. For this step, I recommend saving at minimum 15 grams of ABV, but more is always better, and placing it in your freezer along with the alcohol for at least twelve hours (this will improve the efficiency of the extraction) before using it. Next, take your glass jar out of the freezer and fill it with alcohol until the ABV is completely covered with alcohol. Add the lid and then shake the mixture vigorously for forty-five seconds to a minute, and then remove the lid and attach a cheesecloth to the top of the jar with the rubber band. Next, you’ll want to strain this mixture into your pyrex dish and then let the mixture dry completely in a ventilated area over the next day or so.
Create The E-Liquid
Once the hash has dried out, use your scraper to carefully scoop up the hash and then place it into your shot glass. Add your e-liquid into the shotglass and then place the glass in a pot on the stove on low heat while stirring contiguously (the goal is to heat the mixture just enough for the hash to be dispersed evenly). Once the hash has been dissolved in the mixture, remove the shot glass and then transfer the e-liquid into your dropper bottle with the included dropper.
Now that you’ve finished making your e-liquid, you will now have a dropper full of cannabis e-juice which can now be used in a variety of setups including rebuildable e-cig atomizers as well as vape pens such as the Smok Priv N19. However, because this guide uses 100% reclaimed product from your vape, there are some limitations to be aware of. Firstly, the strength of your mixture will vary greatly depending on how much ABV you have (plus how dark it is), as well as how much resin you manage to collect from your vaporizers. You can increase the potency of your e-liquid by either by mixing in some regular hash or dabs with your dried vaporizer hash, or by adding fresh bud in with your ABV during the quick wash. Furthermore, keep in mind that this liquid will most likely clog atomizers easier than usual, so using a large coil setup is preferable.
